UAE University sign MoU with China University to enhance bilateral relationships.

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum University has signed a memorandum of understanding with Shanghai Accounting and Financial University of Shanghai to develop a joint Islamic finance training program to empower young people with the tools of knowledge, innovation and leadership to drive the growth of this dynamic sector.

The importance of the new strategic partnership is a strong impetus for bilateral cooperation between the UAE and China in supporting the “Belt and Road” initiative to link Asia, Europe and Africa to a new phase of international economic cooperation based on transparency, openness and openness.

The two sides agreed to unify and guide joint efforts towards establishing the foundations of excellence in research, development and education in the field of Islamic finance, while emphasizing the commitment of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al-Smart University to employ its accumulated expertise in providing young generations with the technical, practical and cognitive skills needed to take a leading role in shaping the future of the global Islamic economy , Based on solid foundations of innovation, competitiveness and sustainability.

The signing of the agreement comes at a time of growing international confidence in Islamic finance as one of the tributaries of the global economy, with more than 350 banks and Islamic financial institutions in 60 countries around the world.

Dr. Mansour Al Awar, President of the University, said that the strategic partnership is of great importance as it is an essential pillar to provide the Islamic finance sector with the creative minds that are capable of guiding growth and prosperity in line with the requirements of the 21st century. Islamic finance and the consolidation of historical cooperation to ensure the success of the “Belt and Road” initiative aimed at linking European and Asian markets to promote economic development worldwide.

Al-Awar added that the university is keen on re-engineering education in line with the requirements of the twenty-first century, to be one of the first supporters of the transformation of Dubai into the capital of the global Islamic economy through an integrated portfolio of academic and training programs based on the ability of the tools of the Islamic economy, Developing human capital, scientific research and community service.

The two sides agreed to develop the Islamic Finance Training Program (IFIP) in partnership with the Dubai Islamic Banking and Finance Center at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, the Islamic Finance Club of China and the Dubai Islamic Economic Development Center “As well as cooperation in exchange programs to enrich students’ experience from China and the UAE.

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al-Smart University is set to offer the opportunity to host faculty members and administrators at the Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance to learn more about the rich culture and civilization of the UAE and the Arab world.
