She explained that the Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security grants golden residency to the first graduates of foreign university students according to the following conditions: “The classification of foreign universities should be among the best 100 universities in the world according to the international classification approved by the Ministry of Education, and that the cumulative average of the bachelor’s graduate should not be less than 3.5 degrees, and no more than two years have passed since graduation, and the certificate must be approved by the Ministry of Education.
She added that outstanding Emirati university students can obtain a 10-year residence visa without a guarantor, provided that the following requirements are met: “The university must be classified (A) or (B) according to the classification approved by the Ministry of Education, and a letter of recommendation from the university or a certificate.” Graduation shows that the student’s cumulative average is not less than 3.5 in A-ranked universities or 3.8 in B-ranked universities, and no more than two years have passed since graduation.
Concerning high school students, she explained that if the student is in high school and has a high ranking at the state level (with a grade of no less than 95% in a public or private high school), he may obtain a 5-year residence visa without a guarantor, provided he submits a letter. A recommendation from the Ministry of Education (Emirates Education Foundation). Residency may be renewed if the student is still enrolled in a university in the country and needs a study period of more than 5 years.
She explained that the golden visa allows long-term residence for certain categories of foreigners residing in the UAE, or wishing to come to it, and enables them to live, work, invest and study without the need for a guarantor or host, while enjoying exclusive benefits, and the visa categories include investors, entrepreneurs, and geniuses. The “digital government” indicated that the student can reside and study in the UAE, and the guarantor in this case is either one of the accredited universities in the country, or one of his parents who resides in the country officially, and the student affairs offices in universities specialize in facilitating the procedures for obtaining a student visa and help Students in this, stressing that the student visa is issued for one year only, and it can be renewed for a similar period after submitting an official proof of continuity of study issued by one of the higher education institutions in the UAE where the student is studying.
She added that foreign residents can sponsor their male children until they reach the age of 25, and therefore male students over the age of 25 can continue to reside with their families as long as they provide written proof of their admission to a higher education institution for a period of not less than one year, pointing out that for For female students, parents can continue to provide them with a “student visa” regardless of age.
And she indicated that foreign university students can bring their families to reside with them in the UAE when they have the financial ability to bring them, and provide adequate housing, as this step aims to achieve stability and moral support for students.
