His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Dubai Future Foundation”, witnessed the signing of partnership and cooperation agreements between the Foundation’s “Dubai Future Laboratories”, and each of “Emirates Airlines” and “D bworld and dnata, to employ the latest technologies of the future in developing the aviation and logistics sectors in Dubai and the UAE.
These national partnerships aim to activate the outputs of the Dubai Robotics and Automation Program, which was launched last September, with the aim of accelerating the adoption of these advanced technological applications in various major economic sectors, and supporting 5 future areas of research and development, including production and manufacturing, tourism and customer services, health care, And improving working conditions, logistics and transportation services, in order to make Dubai among the top 10 global cities for robotics and automation technology, by adopting and developing robotics technology, empowering national talents and creating new solutions, products and services in this sector.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Managing Director of the Foundation, Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, Deputy Managing Director of the Foundation, and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO. Omar Sultan Al Olama stressed that these partnerships will contribute to strengthening the position of Dubai and the UAE as an open global laboratory for the latest technologies and innovations, in line with the vision of the country’s leadership, to make it a global destination for fruitful partnerships, research and development, and designing the future.
He said that employing robots, automation and future technologies in key sectors enhances economic growth in the country, supports its competitiveness and attractiveness for establishing and expanding businesses, and provides logistical services for international trade routes.
Employing technologies and innovations in the logistics services sector
The partnership between Dubai Future Laboratories and DB World aims to develop and employ the latest technologies and innovations in the logistics sector, increase its contribution to the future economy of Dubai and the UAE, and increase the flexibility of supply chains in dealing with future challenges.
Where “Dubai Future Laboratories” will provide an open space for experimenting and implementing the latest technologies in logistical operations, and developing unprecedented future solutions that focus on employing technology and artificial intelligence, storing and analyzing big data and “blockchain” technology in creating qualitative solutions for the continuity of supply chains, transport systems, handling and storage of goods. , relying on automation and smart processes and anticipating optimal future scenarios for work mechanisms and patterns within the various workstations of “DB World”.
