Dubai hosts Bangladesh Economic Forum

Dubai will host the 2019 Bangladesh Economic Forum with the participation of more than 300 government officials, business leaders, investors and businessmen from the UAE and Bangladesh.
The forum, which will see the launch of 20 investment projects worth $ 10 billion, aims to promote mutual trade and investment between the UAE and Bangladesh by providing good opportunities for investors and business groups in the UAE and Bangladesh, government and private and to meet to promote investments and conclude business deals for mutual benefit.
UAE investors are discussing upcoming projects with Salman Rehman Salman Fazalur Rahman, advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for private industries and foreign investment, and a visiting Bangladeshi delegation based on Bangladesh’s economy, which grew 7.9% in FY18.
Salman Fazlur Rahman pointed to the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the UAE, which reached an important level this year based on investment indicators worth up to US $ 10 billion in the sectors of energy, ports and infrastructure.
He pointed out in this regard to the signing of four memorandums of understanding between the two countries last February on the establishment of a port and industrial complex and supply and construction of a liquefied natural gas and power plants and a special economic zone in Bangladesh.
