DUBAI EXPORTS MEETS 450 EXPORTERS AND BUYERS AT GULFOOD

The Dubai Export Development Corporation (DEDC) has held more than 450 meetings with local exporters and international buyers on the sidelines of its participation in Gulfood 2019 and has received 9 international delegations through its pavilion. Export in the Emirate of Dubai, especially the food and beverage sector, as well as highlighting export opportunities in foreign markets.
The Foundation sponsored the Indian Food Forum in the presence of 45 Indian importers and at least 10 UAE exporters, held more than 100 bilateral meetings and hosted over 300 global buyers from countries including India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Hong Kong. The Foundation held meetings with delegations from Belarus, Costa Rica, Brazil, Chile, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the Philippines, France and India.
Mr. Mohammed Al Kamali, Deputy Executive Director of the Dubai Export Development Corporation (DEDC) said that Gulfood is an ideal platform for communicating and exchanging knowledge and benefiting from the expertise of thousands of companies in the food sector. In addition to receiving a high-level delegation from the Food and Drug Authority in Saudi Arabia.
He pointed out that the Foundation held a series of meetings to discuss ways of joint cooperation, especially the meeting with the Food and Drug Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia .. He stressed the keenness of the Foundation to cooperate with the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to ensure the need of exporters from Dubai and discuss the strategies of markets Halal products .. Conducting dialogues with representatives from various governmental and private institutions involved in supporting this sector, including Dubai Science Park, International Halal Forum, Emirates International Accreditation Center and Dubai Airport Free Zone.
He pointed out that the organization has organized many promotional activities and local and international trade events during the past year. It has contributed positively to the positive results in the export rates in the beverage and food sector to foreign markets. The total foreign trade of food and beverages during the first nine months of 2018 amounted to about 63 billion Dhs. India came at the top of Dubai’s trade partners with food worth AED 5.1 billion.
