Ras Al Khaimah discusses strengthening economic cooperation with Pakistan

A delegation from the Republic of Pakistan headed by Ahmed Amjad Ali, Consul General of Pakistan to the State, during his visit to the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, reviewed the investment opportunities in the emirate and the possibilities of enhancing trade exchange between the two sides to serve the aspirations of business owners.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Customs Department and Chairman of RAK Economic Zones Authority (RAKZ) and representatives of the Economic Zones Authority, Tourism Development Authority, RAK Office of International Companies, Department of Economic Development and Ras Al Khaimah Ports.
HE Waleed Mohammed Abdul Karim, Second Deputy Chairman of RAK Chamber, affirmed KCCI’s keenness to enhance economic and trade relations with Pakistan as it has a promising investment environment, pointing out that Ras Al Khaimah is characterized by a stable investment and economic environment capable of continuing growth, pointing to success The emirate’s economy is one of the most diversified in the region.
He pointed out that it is an important incentive attractive to investors the presence of free zones, which provide incentives, privileges and facilities for many investors and businessmen, and the existence of a system of integrated modern economic legislation and modern, in addition to the law of foreign direct investment, which allows foreign ownership of projects by up to 100 per cent in 122 economic activities This has contributed to the promotion of foreign investment within the State in general and in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in particular.
For his part, the Consul General of Pakistan to the State expressed his thanks to the Chamber for its efforts in serving the business community and for its keenness to enhance cooperation relations with business owners in Pakistan, stressing the importance of establishing economic and trade partnerships to achieve further growth in light of mutual desire and the existence of many opportunities for cooperation In various sectors and fields.
It is worth mentioning that the number of Pakistani companies in Ras Al Khaimah reached more than 1798 companies doing 3974 activities where the activity of trade and repair services occupies the largest proportion of 35%.
