St. Petersburg, on June 16, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” affirmed the UAE’s firm approach to supporting peace and stability on the regional and international arenas, and political solutions to disputes and conflicts, including the Ukrainian crisis, through de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy..noting His Highness emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to mitigate the humanitarian repercussions of the crisis, and to support initiatives to exchange prisoners for both sides.
This came during the reception of His Excellency President Vladimir Putin, President of the Federal Republic of Russia, to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” today in St. Petersburg, within the framework of his working visit to the Federal Republic of Russia.
During the meeting, His Highness and the Russian President reviewed the course of the UAE-Russian relations in light of the strategic partnership between the two countries, stressing keenness to move forward in developing these relations.
For his part, His Highness the President of the State affirmed the UAE’s keenness to build bridges of cooperation and establish partnerships with the Federal Republic of Russia and various countries of the world in a way that enhances common interests and achieves development and prosperity for all.
