Pilot flight to Al Haramain Expressway with a distance of 450 km

Saudi Railways Company (SAR), the owner of the infrastructure of the Al Haramain Express train project, announced the launch of a full-trial trial of the Al-Haramain train pilot program on Thursday morning between Makkah and Medina.
Eng. Mohamed Fada, Director General of Al Haramain Expressway Project, said that within the framework of continuous cooperation between government departments and private sector institutions, and the emphasis on communication with the relevant bodies of the Al Haramain Express train project, the Presidency of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, And the Red Crescent Authority, to participate in the pilot flight of the train, which started in the morning towards Medina and then return to Mecca station in the evening.
Engineer Fida confirmed that the flights will continue to check on the pilot program in its entirety in preparation for commercial operation, which will be announced by the will of God after ensuring full readiness for operation.
It should be noted that the Haramain Express train project was implemented by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in order to provide a safe and fast means of transport for citizens and residents in accordance with international standards. It also provides transportation services for pilgrims and pilgrims between the holy cities of Mecca and Medina during the Hajj and Umrah seasons.
The project includes five passenger stations in Makkah, Jeddah, King Abdulaziz International Airport and King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh and Medina. The train, which has a speed of up to 300 kilometers per hour, consists of: 4 business class vehicles, 8 economy class vehicles, The capacity of the train is 417 passengers.
