A mountain trip exploring 9 “waterfalls” in rugged locations carried out by an adventure team that included elements of both sexes

Ras Al Khaimah:

An exploration and adventure team, which included members of both sexes, succeeded, on Saturday, in monitoring and documenting 9 “mountain waterfalls” that flowed during the recent rains, in rugged mountainous locations, in the highlands of the Ghalila region, north of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

Ahmed Zain Al Yafei, the leader of the “Check N Adventures” team, said: The height of the mountain waterfalls, which the team reached, ranged between 200 and 400 meters. He explained that the team included, during the mountain trip, 5 members, including two qualified mountain paramedics, while the waterfalls are located in different locations, including the “Ras Al-Ghash Path” and “Al-Mawred” and others, and the trip lasted 7 hours, from six in the morning until one in the afternoon.

He pointed out that the team climbed the mountains on foot, and overcame several difficulties and obstacles during the journey, due to the steepness and ruggedness of the mountains, the dangers of slipping, the abundance of rain and the high cold, while the team members wore clothes and shoes for mountain adventures, against rain and slip.

And the team leader stated that, during the last flight, the team members reached a height of 1100 meters above sea level. And that the team holds a license for adventures, mountain hiking and camping from the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai and the Fujairah Adventure Center.

The team includes 15 members, citizens and residents, between the ages of 20 and 55, and was established in 2014, and obtained the license in Dubai and Fujairah in January 2022.
