Engineer Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, said: The current measures taken by the “OPEC +” alliance to support the oil market are sufficient at the present time, adding that the alliance “only needs a phone call” if any other steps are needed.
“What we are doing is enough, as we say today,” Al-Mazrouei told Reuters during a visit to New Delhi, which hosts the meeting of energy ministers of the Group of Twenty, which will be held on Saturday.
Al Mazrouei continued, “We meet constantly, and if there is an urgent need to do anything else during those meetings, we will do it. It only takes a phone call.”
Minister Al-Mazrouei continued: There is a “mechanism” to monitor Russian oil production, and this will be developed with “OPEC”, explaining that he is not concerned about the demand for oil, as much as investing in production capacity is the biggest challenge. (Reuters)
