Abu Dhabi, August 1, His Excellency Suhail bin Muhammad Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, announced the “National Infrastructure Development Program (Salamah 365)” project, which is one of the transformative projects within the performance agreements of federal government agencies for the year 2022, which was signed in the presence of His Excellency His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”.

The project supports the government’s endeavor to continue developing the infrastructure, making it interconnected and technologically superior, in line with the government work methodology, which requires qualitative and multiplying efforts that contribute to achieving government aspirations and reflect positively on society and the various sectors of the country, as the performance agreements for transformational projects within this methodology represent a quantum leap. The country is moving towards the future and enhances its competitiveness. Transformational projects are characterized by achieving a significant impact in all sectors within short periods of time.

His Excellency Suhail bin Muhammad Al Mazrouei explained that the National Program for Infrastructure Development (Salama 365) is concerned with safety and interactive smart alert systems, and includes the implementation of innovative solutions to address black points on federal roads in the country, and the implementation of the UAE model for safe, pedestrian-friendly crossings with the latest smart technologies to maintain the safety of its users. of various categories, in addition to developing a digital and interactive system using modern technologies to predict floods before they occur to preserve the safety of individuals, by monitoring them with monitoring devices that included in its first phase 16 dams and 9 main valleys, and it also aims to enhance the safety of students in the school community through the implementation of the smart school model secure.

His Excellency pointed out that the UAE is proactive in adopting ambitious initiatives and projects and drafting the necessary laws and legislation, and that the project constitutes an ambitious and advanced step towards preserving the gains achieved by the state represented by its possession of an advanced national system of infrastructure elements for dams, roads and buildings, and improving traffic safety levels by reducing accident deaths. Roads, which supports the reduction of the death rate and traffic accidents in the country, as well as the establishment of an integrated and sustainable infrastructure capable of keeping pace with developments in roads, buildings and dams.

His Excellency added that the Ministry is working on constructive and fruitful cooperation with partners in the government sector (federal and local) and the private sector, and building partnerships to enhance safety levels in infrastructure, roads and dams, so that they are safe for their users in various circumstances in support of national goals.

For his part, His Excellency Engineer Hassan Mohammed Juma Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for the Infrastructure and Transport Sector, said: “The importance of the National Infrastructure Development Program (Salama 365) lies in the fact that it aims to enhance the safety of our students in the school community through the implementation of the smart school model.” safe, in addition to enhancing the quality of life and security of infrastructure users, and preserving property as the ultimate goal and strategic priority in the UAE government.

He pointed out that the UAE has established its leading position among the best countries in the world in the quality of infrastructure, and that the ministry has worked during the past period to enhance communication with its partners, open new channels of communication, and develop partnership in the infrastructure sector to support future directions for the next fifty years.
