The issuance of 7418 new licenses for various economic activities in Dubai since the beginning of 2019

The number of licenses for new economic activities registered in the Emirate of Dubai since the beginning of the year 2019 to 15 April is 7418 licenses, a growth of approximately 3% compared to December of 2018.
The increase in the number of licenses approved by the Department of Economic Development – Dubai has contributed to the increase in the total cumulative number of licenses to about 260998 licenses by the end of the first half of April compared to 253580 licenses, according to the National Economic Register, which is supervised by the Ministry of Economy.
A report released earlier in the Dubai Economic Registration and Licensing Sector showed that the number of new licenses issued in January of this year reached 2046 licenses in various economic activities, up by 20% compared to January 2018.
The new licenses issued during January were distributed on commercial licenses with 64.5%, professional licenses at 33.7%, tourism licenses 1.2% and industrial licenses 0.6%.
Returning to the details of the activity of licensing activity since the beginning of this year in Dubai, the national economic record shows the great growth witnessed by the licenses of limited liability companies, which increased in total to 177136 licenses by the end of the first half of April, an increase of 3823 licenses compared to 173313 at the end of the year 2018.
The growth is digitally documented to increase the attractiveness of the investment environment and the ease of doing business in Dubai and the UAE in general, according to the records of international institutions.
