Japanese stock indices rise in the morning trading session

Japanese stock indices rose in the morning trading session on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
The Nikkei index, which consists of 225 shares, increased by 47.0 points, or 0.16 percent, to reach 28589.11 points in the morning session at 1130 am local time (0230 GMT).
The broader Topix index also added 4.75 points, or 0.24 percent, to reach 1984.97 points.
