Kazim said, in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, during his participation in the Arabian Travel Market exhibition, which concluded its activities in Dubai yesterday, that the airline currently operates 85 Airbus “380A” aircraft within its fleet, while the number rises to 90 aircraft at peak demand during the period. Next summer, to reach 95 aircraft by the end of the current fiscal year, which ends next March.

He noted that the airline continues to operate its giant A380 aircraft to serve more routes across its global network, and operates 43 stations with Airbus “380A” aircraft, which will rise by the end of the year to 50 stations during the summer flight schedule, with the addition of 12 premium economy class aircraft provided by Emirates Airlines. Less than two years ago, to increase to 29 aircraft during the summer period.

He said that the carrier operates about 3,080 departure flights at the network level per week, or more than 440 flights per day for passengers within the (Emirates Airlines) global network, revealing that the carrier is currently studying adding more capacity to the North American market and other global markets such as China, in conjunction with The entry of more aircraft into service and also the receipt of the first aircraft from its order for the “Airbus 350” fleet, where the company occupies 1.3 million seats per week currently.

The Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airlines confirmed that work is underway to add 5 new points, namely London, Christchurch, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, with the addition of San Francisco on the 15th of this month, Singapore on the first of June, and Houston on the middle of next June.

He said: Emirates Airlines is part of the sustainability initiatives in the UAE, as our efforts to mitigate our carbon footprint are increasing in line with the growth in the number of passengers, and earlier this year we operated a test flight using 100% of sustainable aviation fuel; We also recycled 500,000 kilograms of plastic and glass over the course of 2022, in order to work towards net zero carbon.

And “Emirates Airlines” was once again crowned “Best Air Carrier in the World”, for the 10th year in a row, at the “Business Traveler Middle East Awards 2023”, and the airline also won awards in three other categories: Best First Class and Best Class. Emirates Airlines received more than 16,000 visitors in its pavilion at the Arab Travel Market, while its officials held more than 300 meetings with industry and trade partners and media representatives, in addition to concluding and renewing several partnerships with air carriers and tourism agencies across its global network.

On the sidelines of its successful participation in the Arabian Travel Market 2023, Emirates Airlines signed agreements with eight tourism authorities, namely: the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Moroccan National Tourism Office, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, Seychelles Tourism, and the Mauritius Promotion Authority.
