Tomorrow… the start of the “UTV” car competitions at the Liwa International Festival

Tomorrow, Tuesday, the activities of the Liwa Circuit race for the “UTV” turbo and non-turbo cars category, organized by the Liwa Sports Club in cooperation with the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, will start on a race track dedicated to this category in terms of curves and terrain that have been modified in the track.
In this category, each car starts separately in an attempt to break the record and reach the highest rate in finishing the track, so that the timing is calculated as soon as the car crosses the starting line until the end, and each competitor will be given the opportunity to make two attempts, from which the best timing is chosen.
The organizing committee set important conditions for the participants, which were made available for viewing through the electronic registration in advance of the competition, and the availability of the various regulations and laws for the racing categories, public safety conditions, and the limits of modifications intended for all participants.

A large number of elite professionals will participate in tomorrow’s race, as the contestant Rashid Mubarak Al Qamzi, who is participating in the “Stoke Without Turbo” category, confirmed that the contestants in all events are waiting for terrifying races and events every year, especially as they are held in a professional system and include many tournaments and sports in parallel. In a short period of time and in a great atmosphere.
Al-Qamzi said: “I am participating in more than one competition at the Liwa International Festival, and I am happy for this opportunity that allows us to enter and compete with our peers in these events, and I thank the organizers for this professional work that provides the best competitive environment for everyone.”
Regarding tomorrow’s race, Al-Qamzi said: “It is more like a race against time and speed, and therefore each competitor must try to reach the best time in the session allotted to him.”
On the other hand, with regard to the sand show competitions for cars on terrifying dunes, which concluded yesterday evening, the champions recorded strong numbers in the show, in which 91 cars participated in the various categories.

In the 6-cylinder category, the best show was achieved and the contestant Gharib Hadi Al-Mansoori from the UAE scored 170 points, Saeed Al-Nuaimi from the UAE also came second with 169 points, and the Saudi Abdul Rahman Al-Safi came in third place with 164 points.
In the Hilux category, the first places went to the brothers from Saudi Arabia, where Moaz Saleh Al-Nafisa won the first place with 158 points, and Suhail Abdullah Al-Khazim came second with 154 points, and third came Ahmed bin Ali Al-Hamad with 146 points.

In the 8-cylinder category, the podium was also Saudi, as Abdul Rahman Youssef Al-Arini came in first place with 194 points, followed by Abdulaziz Muhammad with 182 points, and thirdly Muhammad Abdul Aziz Al-Farehedi with 178 points.
On the other hand, the professional parachutists team participated in the festival’s activities yesterday by jumping from a distance of 12,000 feet in an impressive show, which caught the attention of all the contestants and fans in the Moereb area. The wing suit was used and led by jumper Ahmed Al Shehhi. Each stage has 15 minutes to reach the terrifying sands later.
This is the first participation of the professional team in the events of Tell Mereb.

Ahmed Al Shehhi, the leader of the paratroopers group, thanked the Liwa Sports Club and the Air Wing Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters for facilitating the procedures for their participation in the activities of this major international festival.
The professional paratroopers team included Ahmed Al-Shehhi, Hasher bin Subaih Al-Falasi, Abdul Rahman Al-Maamari, Mansour Al-Mazrouei, Muhammad Al-Ghazali, and the Brazilian Vitor Beniasi.
