Abu Dhabi Chamber enhances cooperation with the business sector in Singapore

Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Dr. Brian Shekker, Chairman of the UAE-Singapore Business Council discussed the prospects of cooperation between the business sector on both sides.
The meeting was attended by Abdullah Ghurair Al Qubaisi, Deputy Director General of the Chamber, to the work programs of the Business Council during the year 2019 and its agenda regarding enhancing trade and investment exchange.

He stressed that the exemplary bilateral relations between the UAE and Singapore have led to the opening of wide and effective economic and trade cooperation horizons, which will double the roles of private sector enterprises and companies to work together in an integrated system to further strengthen these ties by enhancing trade cooperation.

He pointed out that the establishment of the UAE-Singapore Business Council would enable companies and the business community in Singapore and the UAE to benefit from the communication and logistics relations between the two countries, which will help to explore promising trade and investment opportunities, Areas of cooperation in important development sectors such as industry, energy, banking, financial services, construction, education, food, electricity, trade, public services, tourism and health sector.

He pointed to the efforts of Abu Dhabi Chamber and its representative office in Singapore to enhance economic and investment opportunities and fields through exchanging information and economic and investment reports, highlighting the investment climate and advantages, systems and frameworks for establishing partnerships and establishing projects, and coordinating the visits of business delegations and businessmen and investors. For investment.

For his part, Brian Shekker expressed his pleasure to visit the Abu Dhabi Chamber and identify it within the agenda and work programs of his visits to many economic institutions and companies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE in general, in order to activate areas of cooperation and establish economic ties.
He stressed that his government views the UAE as one of the most important strategic partners in the region, the Middle East and Africa, pointing to the common desire of both the UAE and Singapore to promote bilateral trade and investment channels, especially as the two countries are witnessing strong economic stages at the global levels.
