AmCham Abu Dhabi focusing into inventions

The American Chamber of Commerce in Abu Dhabi (AmCham) organized the 10th annual conference of the roundtable summit in the UAE capital today, which included a formula to question the readiness for the next wave of modern inventions.

Mr. Brian Lott, Chief communication officer at Mubadala, held the opening session where a number of influential figures in the UAE-USA trade and political relations spoke. Mr. Lott stressed the importance of preparing for rapid developments in the world of technological inventions as a global race towards a promising future.

Mr. Sherif Fahmy, chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Chambers of Commerce in Abu Dhabi, said that international conferences are one of the most important means to create a knowledge base among decision makers in the global trade and economic sector, especially between the UAE and America.

 The acting deputy chief of mission at the US embassy in Abu Dhabi, Catherine Sweet, said she was proud of the strategic ties with the United Arab Emirates.

For his part, UAE Ambassador to the United States HE Yousef Al Otaiba said that over the past 10 years, the UAE has revived the list of exporters to the United States. “The volume of UAE investments in the United States is increasing and has created many jobs in America and the UAE, benefiting the two countries,” Otaiba said in a satellite message broadcast from Washington DC.

The adoption of new laws and regulations in the field of space will attract more investment and investment opportunities and the development of investment in future space technologies, said Mohammed Nasser Al Ahbabi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency. Al-Ahbabi affirmed that the UAE is committed to its investments and future plans to invest in space technology.

HE Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade, said the UAE public debt law reinforces investor confidence in the UAE economy, one of the strongest economies in the region and the world. He added that the importance of working to bring foreign investment is not only for the capital aspect, but also important and necessary to create opportunities in the field of technology.
