Sharjah Chamber is looking to strengthen economic relations with the Afghan private sector

Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed with a high-level government delegation from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan the prospects of developing economic relations, increasing trade exchange between Sharjah and Afghanistan and means of strengthening cooperation frameworks between the private sector on both sides.
This came during an visit by an Afghan delegation headed by Nasser Ahmed Durrani, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Animal Resources to the Chamber’s headquarters, during which he met with HE Mohammed Rashid Al Daimas, HE Ahmed Mohammed Obaid Al Naboodah, members of the Board of Directors and Abdulaziz Mohammed Shattaf, Assistant General Manager of the Chamber Members Services Sector.
The meeting discussed opportunities to build future investment partnerships between Sharjah and Afghanistan, especially in the fields of agriculture and livestock.
Mohammad Rashid Al-Daimas praised the deep relations between the UAE in general and Sharjah in particular and the Republic of Afghanistan, stressing the keenness of the Chamber to develop economic relations between the two brotherly countries and to increase the volume of trade exchange and joint investment between the two sides.
The DEMAS reviewed the competitive and attractive investment elements enjoyed by the Emirate of Sharjah and the advantages and incentives provided by the Chamber to help the Afghan investors to expand into the markets of the GCC and the Middle East .. The Afghan delegation called for encouraging the private business sector in Afghanistan to participate in The exhibition is organized and hosted by the Sharjah Expo Center throughout the year, which serves as a platform for establishing and developing business in the UAE and the region.
For his part, Nasser Ahmed Durrani praised the strong relations between the UAE and his country at various levels. He expressed his country’s keenness to build the best economic relations with the Emirate of Sharjah and to increase bilateral cooperation in a number of other fields in which Sharjah has achieved remarkable achievements at the regional and global levels.
Durrani expressed his country’s desire to enhance trade exchange with Sharjah and to build more fruitful partnerships between the business communities in various sectors, particularly the agricultural sector. He pointed out that the volume of Afghanistan’s agricultural exports reached more than 4 billion dollars annually, As a leading regional and international economic hub, as well as its leadership in high quality food industries.
