Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has started receiving the first batch of trainees and trainees from the Small and Medium Enterprises Center Tijara 101, one of the Chamber’s recently announced initiatives during the sixth session of the GCC Human Resources and Labor Market Conference.
The Center is the first of its kind at the local and Gulf level, which seeks to empower young entrepreneurs by developing and improving the business environment in the field of small and medium enterprises and contribute to raising the efficiency of production, promotion and marketing of entrepreneurial projects, as well as building effective partnerships to achieve mutual interests and mutual between companies to provide A business environment that supports the growth opportunities of new projects in line with the State’s approach to developing local investments through the creation of ways to launch innovative entrepreneurial projects.
His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the 101 initiative comes within the framework of Sharjah Chamber’s keenness to support and motivate young people to engage in business and economic and create a work environment that has a positive impact to promote sustainable development in society in line with the wise vision and good guidance of the owner. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, said that the need to give impetus to entrepreneurship projects in the Emirate of Sharjah and open up investment opportunities for all entrepreneurs towards new and broader horizons. Al Owais pointed out that the Emirate of Sharjah has given SMEs and entrepreneurs continuous attention and support in light of the strategic value of this sector in the national economy due to its high capacity to support the GDP and contribute to the supply of labor market employment opportunities for young people through the creation of an incubator environment and legislative frameworks Necessity and financial funds supporting the development and prosperity of this sector and ensure its sustainable growth, which was reinforced by the Sharjah Chamber by launching many projects supporting entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises in the fields of training and rehabilitation In addition to providing support and advice to young investors through its various initiatives such as the Sharjah Center for Training and Development, the Sharjah Excellence Award and many more to motivate a large number of entrepreneurs in the emirate. For her part, Mona Omran Ali, Director of the Center for Small and Medium Enterprises in the Sharjah Chamber, said that the demand for training programs offered by the Center is witnessing a remarkable presence by the ambitious young people with talents and innovative ideas, noting that the center will attract in its first phase the training of 10 young women and men in specialties Specific in managing and organizing exhibitions, auditing, tax collection, translation, e-commerce, hospitality, design and graphic photography according to advanced standards to manage the operation of entrepreneur offices.
She explained that the center will provide a number of other features aimed at enhancing cooperation between small and medium enterprises and markets at the local and international level to be the best destination for business owners to establish and develop their own business through integration in the internal business environment and the development of horizon and ways of cooperation with foreign markets.
Mona Omran said that the chamber will work to give up many jobs by January 2022 by giving opportunities to the center’s graduates entrepreneurs. For example, 35% of the exhibition management will be assigned to the graduates of the private sector in addition to the hospitality sector and the tax collection sector. A cooperation agreement with a global company to train the Center’s employees on the latest international systems in this sector to practice their business in accordance with the highest standards and best practices applied globally.
She pointed out that the launch of this initiative came in line with the role of the Chamber and its strategy as the first representative of the business community in the Emirate of Sharjah and its commitment to the principles of social responsibility and support all activities and training programs that contribute to the advancement of the business sector, especially the youth.
