The Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is participating in the activities of the Emirates Forum for Small and Medium Enterprises, organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Sheikh Saeed Sorour Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry said on the sidelines of the forum the importance of small and medium enterprises, as they contribute to the diversification of sources of income and promote and consolidate the concepts of creativity and innovation .. He praised the efforts of the Chamber to highlight the vital and effective role played by the SME sector The economy of the Emirate of Fujairah, and encouraging national entrepreneurs to do business and service, and help them establish their own projects and provide the appropriate environment for their projects and to enhance their role in supporting the plans and vision of the UAE 2021.
Al Sharqi stressed the keenness of the Chamber to support and participate in all that would promote the sector of small and medium enterprises within the framework of the wise leadership’s attention to this sector and provide support to it, pointing out that this interest translated by the issuance of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE , Federal Law No. / 2 / of 2014 on small and medium enterprises and enterprises.
For his part, His Excellency Sultan Al Hindasi, Director General of Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the UAE’s approach to the post-oil economy increases the importance of the innovation approach and supporting entrepreneurship and small projects especially for the youth category. The Ruler of Fujairah established the Fujairah Small Business Support Center and developed strategies and plans to encourage innovation and spread the culture of entrepreneurship. Through the launch of the Bidaya program, the Chamber seeks to provide an attractive environment for creative business owners, and turn them into successful future projects that contribute to And the national economy.
He added that Bedaya program contributes to the development of youth capabilities and reduces the phenomenon of small enterprises through the embracing and graduation of more successful initiatives. To achieve success, the most prominent offices are fully equipped free technical services including Internet services, electricity, water and communications, as well as a meeting room and conferences, reception services and secretarial services, in addition to technical, administrative, media and consulting services provided by The chamber through a selection of specialists working in it.
He pointed out that “Bedaya” program is one of the programs of the Fujairah Small Business Support Center, a leading center for embracing startups. The center provides support services and assistance to young entrepreneurs who have an idea to start a business or an existing business that they wish to develop. Since its inception, the Center has provided financial facilities and exemptions for a number of projects in the Emirate through two memorandums of understanding with Khalifa Fund for Project Development and Emirates NBD’s “Ambition” Program.
