RAK Chamber and South Africa discuss investment opportunities

The RAK Chamber and the South African Embassy in the UAE discussed investment opportunities in order to enhance bilateral trade between the two sides, and to increase the outlets for local products for global spread to enhance the emirate’s strategic position as a promising market for export to various international markets.
During a meeting with the South African Ambassador to the UAE, the Chairman of the RAK Chamber said that relations with the Republic of South Africa witnessed significant growth last year, with exports from Ras Al Khaimah to South Africa increasing by 160 percent, and South Africa ranked sixth among countries. Exporting to Ras Al Khaimah in the same year, demonstrating the joint endeavor to expand areas of cooperation between the two sides as the Emirate seeks to provide an attractive environment for investment.
He added that the RAK Chamber is working to promote investment and develop economic relations in all economic sectors, whether industrial, medical, educational or other fields, calling on the South African business community to benefit from the investment environment in Ras Al Khaimah, by focusing on sectors of interest to the market. He pointed out to provide all facilities and incentives to attract investors to establish investment projects.
For his part, the Ambassador of South Africa expressed interest in the investment opportunities available in Ras Al Khaimah, and reviewed the facilities and incentives offered by South Africa to attract investors to set up investment projects, stressing that the meeting was an opportunity to discuss all matters related to trade and investment cooperation between the two parties in all economic sectors. He also invited RAK Chamber and Emirati businessmen to look at the investment opportunities available in South Africa
