Zayed Higher Organization implements a campaign to plant 3,000 mangrove trees in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, March 20: The Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination campaign was launched today, in cooperation with the Emirates Friends of the Environment Association, to plant 3,000 mangrove trees in a number of regions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The launch of the campaign was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, Dr. Ibrahim Ali Muhammad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Friends of the Environment Association, Hamid Rashid Al-Derei, Director of the Shahama Municipality Center, and the participation of municipal centers, the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment, and the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police. Mediclinic Hospital, the Emirates Girl Guides Association, the Abu Dhabi Commission, and the students of Al-Fateh School.

The campaign comes within the framework of the general framework of sustainability under the slogan “Today for tomorrow”, and an embodiment of the interest of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, in the concept of sustainability, and within the framework of striving to contribute to reducing carbon emissions by planting mangroves, and achieving the goals of sustainable development in Climate action, in addition to integrating people of determination in community environmental campaigns with school students and community members, and enhancing their participation in supporting environmental campaigns and various activities in the country.

His Excellency Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al-Humaidan stressed the importance of educating students of determination, members of the organization and its cadres, and educating them about the environmental aspect and the need to preserve the UAE’s environment, as this has become a national duty, stressing that caring for the environment occupies all members of society, citizens and residents, in light of the climate changes the world is witnessing. due to pollutants and remnants of technological progress.

He said that the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination is committed to the principle of environmental safety, and the issue of the environment and environmental awareness occupies a large space in all its files and activities, pointing out that the Foundation has launched many initiatives and projects aimed at preserving the environment, and that its affiliates, people of determination, are keen on the safety and cleanliness of their surrounding world. Sensing the value of this constructive goal, and this indicates the quality of what they receive from the tributaries of education, education and training provided to them by the Foundation, and in accordance with the best approved international methods and practices, to make them aware of their role in serving society like the rest of society, and to achieve everything that would activate the wheel of sustainable development in the Emirates .

Al-Humaidan thanked the officials of the Friends of the Environment Association for their interest in communicating and cooperating with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, to achieve the common goal of working to preserve the UAE environment, realizing the importance of this goal, and to educate the children and cadres of the organization on environmental issues, and to participate in joint activities between the two sides.

For his part, Dr. Ibrahim Ali Mohamed said that the initiative comes within the framework of the joint memorandum of understanding between the Zayed Higher Organization and the Emirates Friends of the Environment Association regarding cooperation in exchanging knowledge and information about environmental culture, coordinating the establishment of environmental awareness activities and events organized by the association, and preparing a joint plan to implement it in coordination With Zayed Higher Organization, which provides logistical support to it, and the Foundation’s participation in the association’s projects.
