US stocks closed higher today
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 116.45 points, or 0.45 percent, to 25944.81. The broader S & P 500 index was up 10.68 points, or 0.38 percent, to end at 2881.40.
The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was up 6.35 points, or 0.08 percent, at 7,916.94.
