What do you know about the virtual trade license in the UAE?

As a foreign investor not residing in the UAE, you can apply from anywhere outside the UAE, to obtain an Abu Dhabi virtual license, as well as the Dubai Virtual Commercial Zone, which allows you to do business in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai from outside the UAE, before starting the residence procedures

The Abu Dhabi Virtual License allows doing business in 13 sectors, which are:

Agriculture, industry, repair, contracting, maintenance and installation, retail, transportation and service activities, leasing and management services, support services, organization of health and recreational events, wholesale trade activities, and import and export.

The Abu Dhabi virtual license allows the establishment of a limited liability company or a one-person company LLC, and 100% ownership.

The license is subject to local fees of no more than 1000 dirhams, with all additional federal fees to be collected, according to the type of activity required and the legal form.

To apply for the virtual license, you must visit the Abu Dhabi Business Center website, and select from the list the Abu Dhabi Virtual License.

Dubai

The Department of Tourism and Economy in Dubai, in partnership with other local government agencies in the emirate, launched the Dubai Virtual Commercial District (VCC) program, which will enable business entrepreneurs and self-employed people in most parts of the world to start a virtual trading company in Dubai, and obtain a virtual business license, without The requirement to reside or work in the UAE, and in accordance with the highest international legal controls to conduct business digitally.

This means that any person or company from most countries of the world can apply for a virtual business license, according to the applicable terms and conditions, without having to reside in or visit the UAE.

Businessmen and investors from most countries of the world can apply for a virtual business license online and from their countries, through the Dubai Virtual Business District website.

The eligibility requirements for obtaining a virtual business license include:

The applicant should not be residing in the UAE

To be a citizen or resident and subject to tax from one of these approved countries

Conducting global, non-locational business activities in specific sectors, focusing on the creative industries, technology and services.

All virtual companies have automatic access to the Dubai website, which is an online marketplace that provides its services to all companies registered in the Dubai Economy.

The Dubai Virtual Business License initiative is the result of joint cooperation between Dubai Economy and Tourism, the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA), and Dubai Digital.
