His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, each received separately yesterday, Mohamed Shiaa Al Sudani, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq sisterly, and they discussed with him fraternal relations and opportunities to strengthen them and develop cooperation and joint work between the UAE and Iraq, and their Highness affirmed that the Iraq of civilization and science is dear to the hearts of the Emirati people.
During the reception of His Highness the President of the State at Qasr Al-Watan, His Highness and Al-Sudani reviewed the aspects of cooperation and the available opportunities to develop them to broader levels, and His Highness extended congratulations to the Iraqi Prime Minister, on the success of Iraq hosting the Gulf Cooperation Council Football Championship “Gulf 25”, which was held in Basra Governorate; His Highness said, “We were pleased with the feelings of harmony and brotherhood between the Iraqi people and their fellow peoples of the region. And our joy increases and grows with the return of security, stability and prosperity to all parts of Iraq ».
His Highness added that the relations between the UAE and Iraq are strong and solid at all levels. And that dear Iraq has a special place in the hearts of the people of the Emirates. His Highness said that the UAE supports all your steps for Iraq’s unity, sovereignty, prosperity and progress.
In Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received, at the Zabeel Palace in Dubai, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and His Highness said on Twitter: “I received Muhammad Al-Sudani, the Iraqi Prime Minister.. We want to develop economic and popular relations with our brothers in Iraq.. Iraq. Civilization and science… the Iraq of poetry and literature… the Iraq of brotherhood, love, and the people loyal to their Arab brothers.
For his part, Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani expressed his thanks for the warm reception. He said, “Iraq went through difficult stages, but it overcame them with the steadfastness and cohesion of its people. Today, Iraq is part of the solution in the region, and with the support of the UAE and its brothers, it will return to its pioneering role and its Arab depth, which it cherishes and preserves.
