The “Rashid” lander, flying at an altitude of 1.2 million kilometers from Earth, carried out the fourth orbital control maneuver

“iSpace” revealed that the explorer’s lander, “Rashid”, was flying at an altitude of 1.2 million kilometers from the earth, after it reached its farthest point last January, according to a tweet it posted on “Twitter”, which I attached to a diagram showing the location of the site. spacecraft and lunar orbit.
The Hector R vehicle, which carries the first Emirati mission to explore the surface of the moon, reached a height of 1.4 million km on January 20, to return to a height of 1.3 million km last week, according to what was published by “iSpace”, where this stage represents After 62 days of the flight towards the moon, the success of the fourth orbital control maneuver.
It is expected, according to the mission schedule, that “Haktor R” will land on its own on the moon at the end of next April, relying on its computers, and will calculate how to land in a way that makes it maintain its trajectory, until it reaches the specified point in the “Atlas Crater” area. And after ensuring the safety of the explorer’s devices, conducting a test of the main communication device with the lander, and calibrating the device to improve communication and raise its efficiency, the UAE’s scientific mission will be launched on the surface of the moon, by receiving the ground station at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center for data and images, which will be the first of its kind to an area not explored in previous missions.
