Egypt: Exemption of some gold imports from customs tax and other fees

Cairo, on May 11, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Egyptian Prime Minister, issued a decision to exempt some imports that come to customs ports, accompanied by passengers coming from outside the country, from customs tax and other fees, except for value-added tax, for a period of six months.

These imports are represented in: gold in other semi-manufactured forms, subject to customs clause No. (7108.13), gold prepared for monetary circulation subject to customs clause No. (7108.20), jewellery, jewelry and parts thereof from other precious metals, whether or not broken or clad with a crust of precious metals, subject to For the customs clause No. (7113.19).
