The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced the establishment of Assiut National Company for Petroleum Manufacturing (ANOPIC) as an Egyptian joint stock company to implement and manage the hydrogen fracture project at Assiut Oil Refining Company at an investment cost of $ 1,850 billion.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tariq Al-Mulla said in a statement published on the official page of the ministry that this project is a qualitative leap in the field of refining and manufacturing of petroleum using the latest advanced technologies in the field of oil refining and manufacturing. And raising the efficiency of refineries through the implementation of a number of new projects for refining and manufacturing.
He added that this project will contribute positively to the provision of a large part of the supplies and needs of Upper Egypt’s petroleum products, as well as its role in reducing and reducing the risk of transporting these products from the north to the south. He said that this project will implement all environmental obligations and requirements in accordance with the Environment Law The Egyptian.
The feed capacity of the project is about 2.5 million tons per year of diesel fuel to produce about 1.6 million tons per year of low sulfur diesel according to EU 5 specifications, producing about 402 thousand tons of naphtha and 101 thousand tons of this but not the production of coal and sulfur.
