Egypt and Jordan sign agreements for the sale and purchase of natural gas between the two countries

Egypt and Jordan signed the agreements on the supply of natural gas to Jordan, which regulates the sale and purchase of natural gas between the two countries, and the operation of pipelines and networks of natural gas transportation commensurate with the operational conditions of the two countries and peak hours for power plants owned by Jordan National Electricity Company, Egypt in the implementation of gas delivery projects inside Jordan.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tariq Al-Mulla met with his Jordanian counterpart Hala Zowati, who is currently visiting Cairo, to discuss the executive position of the joint projects and the strategies that have been put in place to ensure the provision and diversification of energy sources, especially natural gas between the two countries.
After signing the joint agreements with the Jordanian minister, the Egyptian minister affirmed that the agreements come within the framework of the strategic cooperation and cooperation between the two countries and support cooperation between them in the field of petroleum and energy.
