Sharjah Airport topped the airports of the Middle East and North Africa and ranked fourth in the world and the first in the region in the accuracy of punctuality and punctuality according to the data “OIG” – the international provider of airport and airline data During the first half of this year, it reached 91.1 percent, which is considered a national and international achievement.
His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah International Airport Authority, said that reaching this international level in the timeliness of flights is due primarily to the exceptional procedures followed by Sharjah Airport in cooperation with partners in addition to harnessing technology and smart services.
Al Madfa praised the efforts exerted by all sectors in the airport in various functions.
Sharjah Airport is continuing its expansion to cope with the growing demand for travel. The new expansion project aims to increase the airport’s capacity to about 20 million passengers by 2025 at a total cost of AED 1.5 billion.
