Flight seats to the Emirates are fully booked for the end of August, coinciding with the return from summer vacations

Incoming flights to UAE airports until the end of August 2023 are witnessing strong levels of occupancy, coinciding with the return of residents and citizens from summer vacations, in addition to tourist demand from some international markets in Europe, Asia and North America.

Airlines record a high load factor on their upcoming flights, especially in the last half of this August, in light of the strong demand for travel to and from the Emirates during the summer of 2023.

Dubai International Airport witnessed a strong increase in the number of passengers at the beginning of the summer season, as the airport received about 3.5 million passengers during the period from June 20 to July 3, with an average daily traffic of 252 thousand passengers.

The increase in the number of departures reached more than a quarter of a million passengers during the period from 23 to 25 June, including 100,000 passengers on Saturday, June 24, while the busiest day of July coincided with the end of the Eid al-Adha holiday, as the total traffic exceeded Daily 305 thousand passengers.

Airports in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah recorded active travel during the summer, and it is expected that the movement will be active with the return of travelers to the country from summer vacations.

The national airlines witnessed strong levels of demand for air travel to and from the various airports in the country. As the carriers strengthened their operations by adding new flights to accommodate the increasing number of passengers. Economy class seats were sold out on many flights coming to UAE airports from some markets, especially Arab countries, due to booking round-trip flights for the summer season.

The return flights coincide with the start of the new academic year 2023-2024, as August is one of the busiest months at UAE airports.

The strong demand for flight reservations contributed to an increase in ticket prices during the summer period, making it difficult to obtain a flight ticket to UAE airports at low prices, especially during the last week of August and early September 2023.
