The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said at a press briefing held in Geneva, on Wednesday, that the world has never been in a better position to end the “Covid-19” pandemic.
“Last week, the number of reported weekly COVID-19 deaths was the lowest since March 2020,” Ghebreyesus said, stressing that “we were never in a better position to end the pandemic. We are not there yet, but the end is in sight.” .
“The marathon runner doesn’t stop when the finish line is in sight, she runs with more force with all she has left,” Tedros explained.
