Saudi Ports Receives 16 thousand pilgrims This Year

The General Authority of Saudi Ports (Ports) has completed its preparations for the arrival of pilgrims for the pilgrimage season this year through the Jeddah Islamic Port through the preparation of an integrated operational plan. Jeddah Islamic Port will begin to receive the first pilgrims of the House of God from Friday, 14 Dhul Qa’da 1439H corresponding to 27 July 2018 and until Monday, 2 Dhul Hijjah 1439H corresponding to 27 August 2018. The first 833 pilgrims will arrive this year from Sudan. It is expected that the port will receive during this pilgrimage 1439 H (16,031) thousand pilgrims, through 17 trips through (3) ferries, and an operational capacity of the arrival hall about 800 pilgrims per hour.
