The World Energy Congress (WEC) has announced that the Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) is the main sponsor of the 24th World Energy Congress, which is being held in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, from 9 to 12 September at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.
As a key sponsor of the conference, Emirates Water & Electricity Company (EWEC) will showcase its contributions to the field of water and electricity production, its successful experience and investments in the renewable energy sector, as well as its vision for providing sustainable energy sources and its leading role in the development of the water and electricity sector in the UAE.
HE Dr. Mattar Al Neyadi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 24th World Energy Conference, welcomed the addition of Emirates Water and Electricity Company to be one of the main sponsors of the World Conference, stressing that “ Emirates Water and Electricity ” has made great strides in the development and provision of sustainable energy sources to support the UAE’s objectives of diversifying energy sources and projects.
Neyadi pointed out that EWEC’s joining of the UAE’s leading water and electricity services providers to the 2019 World Energy Conference will highlight the UAE’s successful experience in producing and supplying energy efficiently, sustainably, in advanced ways and projects.
His Excellency Othman Juma Al Ali, CEO of Emirates Water and Electricity Company, said that Abu Dhabi’s hosting of the World Energy Conference will provide great opportunities to enhance the role of global partnerships, interact with global leaders and identify future technical requirements to meet the energy needs through the use of traditional and sustainable resources. Both benefits the state and the rest of the world.
It is worth mentioning that a large group of UAE companies will showcase their innovations and experiences during the 24th World Energy Conference alongside the Emirates Water and Electricity Company, including: Federal Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Abu Dhabi Global Market, Expo Dubai 2020, Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, Federal Insurance Authority and DP World .
The 24th World Energy Congress will feature over 300 spokespersons and thousands of representatives from major companies and more than 80 panel discussions will discuss all areas of energy such as oil, gas, electricity, clean coal sources, renewable energy, nuclear energy, transport sector, energy efficiency, finance, investment, consulting, etc. Sectors that affect and are affected by the energy sector.
