400 thousand Saudi Riyals fine for violation of the anti-fraud system

The Saudi Ministry of Trade and Investment has defamed a citizen who owns a business, his partner and his agent working in the mills’ activity for violating the commercial fraud and trademark system following the re-filling of the flour supported in small packages and in unsanitary and unsafe ways and the use of unlicensed trademarks Using it and reselling it again. The ministry published a court order in Dammam that included a fine of 400,000 riyals, the closure of the shop, the destruction of the fraudulent product, the confiscation of tools used in fraud or deception, and the publication of the sentence in two newspapers at the expense of the violators. The Ministry of Trade and Investment confirmed its intention to continue to address the violators of the regulations and to complete the application of legal procedures against them in view of the resulting fraud and deception and harm to the consumer. The ministry called on all consumers to report their complaints to the Center of Communications on (1900) or through the application of a “commercial communication” or through the Ministry’s website.
