500 violations of value added tax in hotels and furnished apartments in Saudi Arabia

The General Organization for Zakat and Income Saudi Arabia (500) seized a violation of the application of value added tax in a number of commercial establishments during its inspection campaign which started last week and ended yesterday and targeted hotels and furnished apartments in different regions of the Kingdom. The field teams of the Authority conducted inspection tours that included more than (2000) sites for hotels and furnished apartments. The most prominent violations of the establishments were the issuance of a tax invoice by a person not registered with the tax and non-compliance with the collection of VAT.
