The first edition of Eurotire Middle East will be held in Abu Dhabi on Monday under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, with the participation of more than 120 exhibitors from 16 countries. Representing around 150 companies, the company will operate at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center until September 4.
The organizing committee of the event announced the details of the exhibition during the press conference held today in the presence of the Director General of the Authority and the Chairman of the organizing committee of the exhibition and the executive Sultan of Food at Elite Agro and Managing Director of Al Marmoum Dairy Company and a number of officials.
As a guest of honor, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is participating in the first edition of the exhibition which showcases the latest means of animal production technology in the world.
The Director General of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority said that the organization of the Eurotire Middle East exhibition in Abu Dhabi reflects the attention paid by our wise leadership to the livestock sector as one of the most important tributaries of the food security of the country as the exhibition supports the government’s direction to promote the production process in this vital sector Workers in various sectors of livestock under one umbrella to exchange experiences and stay updated and transfer knowledge, skills and experiences to local breeders.
He added, “ We have been keen to attract this event as one of the most important international exhibitions that are concerned with enriching knowledge, building the capacity of livestock breeders, upgrading their expertise and empowering them with the best practices and techniques used in this field to enhance the livestock sector and promote breeding operations and improve production as part of our support for this vital sector.
“What distinguishes this exhibition from the rest of the similar events, which are organized in many countries of the world, it is the first international exhibition in the region directed directly to owners and breeders of livestock and not only to traders and distributors, just like other trade fairs, which is of great importance to the level of direct knowledge transfer and improve production Thus promoting food security is urged to become the largest gathering of livestock owners in the region. ”
He stressed that the animal production sector has all the ingredients that qualify it to become one of the most important engines of economic development and a real contribution to the promotion of GDP growth, and therefore the State is keen to provide an encouraging investment environment for industries based on animal production and the adoption of modern methods in production processes as well as launching many initiatives that It aims at raising awareness of the importance of animal wealth and preserving it as an important part of the local cultural heritage.
On the participation of Saudi Arabia as the guest of honor of the exhibition .. His Excellency told the UAE news agency “WAM” that the participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a guest of honor in the event enriched the first edition of the exhibition because of the Kingdom’s expertise in this sector.
He pointed out that in the Kingdom there are about 33 million heads of livestock and a large number of breeders and pioneering initiatives in the sector, which contributes to the transfer of knowledge between the Kingdom and the participants in the event, pointing out that the relations between the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are well-established historical relations extending to all areas and we Happy to be a guest of honor at the event.
Sultan Saeed Al Jabri, Executive Director of Foods at Elite Agro Company and Managing Director of Al Marmoum Dairy Company, expressed his delight at the fact that Al Marmoum is the host sponsor of the exhibition. In light of the growing demand for dairy products, meat, eggs and others, which will contribute to a real shift in this sector, pointing out that Marmoum plans to sign several contracts with foreign companies on the sidelines of the exhibition.
