$ 13.9 billion in total foreign reserves at the Central Bank of Jordan for the end of February

In its latest report, the Central Bank of Jordan explained that the total foreign reserves at the Central Bank amounted to about 13.9 billion dollars at the end of February of this year, covering about 7.7 months of the value of the Kingdom’s imports of goods and services.
Pointing out that reserves of foreign currencies, amounted to the end of February about $ 12.2 billion enough to cover the Kingdom’s imports of goods and services for a period of 8.6 months. According to Central Bank data, the total balance of deposits with licensed banks at the end of January of this year amounted to 33.4 billion dinars, compared with 33.2 billion dinars at the end of 2017.

Deposits in dinars amounted to JD 25.8 billion compared to JD 25.6 billion, while deposits in foreign currency amounted to JD7.7 billion, compared to KD 7.6 billion for the same period.

The balance of total credit facilities granted by licensed banks amounted to 25 billion dinars at the end of January of this year compared to 24.7 billion dinars at the end of 2017.
