14.8% decrease in building permits in Jordan

The report of the Jordanian Statistics Department showed a decrease of 14.8% in the number of building permits issued by the Kingdom, which reached 21 thousand licenses during the first eight months of 2018, compared with 25 thousand licenses during the same period of 2017, a decrease of 14.8%.
And the total area of licensed buildings reached 7584 thousand square meters during the first eight months of 2018, compared with 8590 thousand square meters during the same period of 2017, a decrease of 11.7 percent.
