The “digital government” stated that the new features include a “screen reader” that helps read text at three speeds, “contrast” to adjust and reflect colors on the screen, and “smart contrast” to ensure that the site’s colors comply with the Internet Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). 2.1 AA) or even (AAA) level, in addition to the “Link Highlight” and “Text Spacing” features.
The features also include “Turn on or off animated pictures”, which is useful for those who suffer from motor impairment, dyslexia, visual impairment, or perceptual and cognitive problems, and those who are prone to seizures and epilepsy, and “hide pictures” and “facilitate dyslexia.” This tool displays fonts that facilitate reading on People with dyslexia.
Features include Moshir, which provides a large cursor size, mask, and reading guide, and is useful for those with visual impairments, cognitive and learning challenges, or ADHD.
As for the “Tooltip” feature, it is used when the link or button contains only a symbol (icon), and this is useful for those with motor impairments, in addition to the “page structure” features, “increase the space between lines”, “text alignment” and “ color saturation” and “dictionary” that allow access to searches in the dictionary without the need to exit the site.
The digital portal was designed according to characteristics that include “a site map, a design compatible with various devices, screen enlargement, the ability to change the text size and color, the use of the keyboard, the ability to hear the text, and the scroll up button,” to facilitate users’ browsing and access to information and services, in order to ensure access to Everyone’s experience is easy and beneficial.
