2% ؜ High CPI for January in Jordan

The Jordanian Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose last month to 124.1 from 121.7 in the same month of 2018, recording a rise of 2.0 percent, the statistics department said.
The grain and cereal products group contributed 1.08 percentage points, vegetables and dry and canned pulses by 0.66 percentage points, rents by 0.27 percentage points, fuel and lighting by 0.15 percentage points and education by 40.1 percentage points. On the other hand, the prices of a group of commodities, including meat and poultry, decreased by 0.52 percentage points, fruit and nuts by 0.14 percentage points, clothing by 0.04 percentage points and sugar and sugar products by 0.02 percentage points.
