Dubai Customs has been successful in consolidating the eight principles of Dubai and the 50th document with a record performance in the first quarter of this year. The department has also received many international awards for innovation and excellence. During the first quarter, the company achieved 2.6 million customs transactions with an 8.5% growth.
Ahmed Mahbub Musabah, Director of Dubai Customs, said that the department launched initiatives to stimulate the business and trade sector, which is positively reflected on improving the economy and improving people’s lives. Dubai Customs achieved the highest results in the average of the indicators of leadership in government services which was announced in mid March. Performance results for 30 different government agencies and a comprehensive review of more than 10,000 sub-indices and other metrics related to services.
He added that these achievements come in line with the preparations of the intensive department to receive visitors and exhibitors at Expo 2020, where innovative customs services and a channel of their own were provided to facilitate their work and shipment of their goods. He stressed that Dubai Customs is seeking to be the world’s leading customs administration in support of legitimate trade, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “Raised God” in entrepreneurship and the promotion of foreign trade.
Dubai Customs said that the department continues to provide customers with unprecedented facilities, simplifying procedures and trade restrictions and listening to their proposals through the periodic meetings of the Advisory Council. The happiness at Dubai Customs is not a slogan but a strategic focus included in the 2016-2021 plan, And Dubai Customs achieved the first quarter of the year
The Dubai Customs stand at the Emirates Employment Exhibition 2019 received about 1,340 applications to meet the need of 60 vacancies provided by the Department during the current year. Twenty candidates were hired during the exhibition, including candidates from the owners of Hammam.
Dubai Customs launched the leading women’s customs award under the slogan “Al Thuraya” aims to shed light on the contributions of the working women, encourage them and motivate them to make a qualitative leap in career happiness and develop and enhance positive competitiveness among all female employees of the department at all levels of their careers.
