200 UAE brands at the Commercial Excellence Forum in Jeddah

The National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises in the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the Embassy of the State of Saudi Arabia participated in a trade delegation from the UAE at the Commercial Excellence Forum organized by the General Organization of Small and Medium Enterprises in Saudi Arabia, “Minshat” at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Jeddah.
Prince Bader bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, opened the UAE pavilion at the Trade Excellence Forum with the participation of Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment Dr. Majid Al-Qassabi and HE Saleh Al-Rasheed, Governor of the “Minshat” Organization in the presence of HE Nasser bin Huaiden Al-Ketbi, Consul General of the UAE. Jeddah and Dr. Adeeb Al-Afifi Director of the National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises and Projects at the Ministry of Economy.
The UAE Pavilion participated in the forum organized by the National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises at the Ministry of Economy, about 200 Emirati entrepreneurs who are specialized in the fields of technology, health services, foodstuffs and other sectors that contribute to the economic diversification of the country.
Dr. Adeeb Al-Afifi, Director of the National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises in the Ministry of Economy, said: “The Commercial Excellence Fair is an important opportunity for SMEs and UAE entrepreneurs who wish to launch their projects or develop their brands. Between 4% and 5% of the gross domestic product of countries globally, and provides job opportunities estimated in every two million of the world’s franchises with 19 million job opportunities as the franchise functions constitute 6% of private sector jobs in countries that apply the system Commercial franchise.
He pointed out that the National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises in the Ministry of Economy is keen to participate in local and international initiatives that contribute to empowering and supporting entrepreneurs through finding investment opportunities and transferring technology and expertise to them.
Dr. Adeeb Al-Afifi, Director of the National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises, delivered a speech during the second panel discussion on the challenges of the region and the opportunities of commercial excellence in which he pointed out that the pioneer should seek to be present in various local and international economic forums. , Adding that the team of integrated work and the owner of passion and conviction and clear vision is the team that will work on the success of the project.
On the sidelines of the Franchise Forum, several memorandums of understanding and commercial franchise agreements were signed between the members of the National Program for SMEs and the participating companies.
In this regard, an agreement was signed between Al-Riyadah Foundation for Consultations and Studies, represented by Dr. Sultan Fayez Al-Shamsi and the Center for Quality and Excellence Management, represented by Dr. Al-Murozak Al-Fahmi in the presence of Dr. Adeeb Al-Afifi, Head of the State Delegation to the Forum and HE Nasser Bin Huaiden Al Ketbi, Consul General of the State of Jeddah.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the UAE’s Imtiaz Corporation, represented by Essam Lootah, owner of the company and Saudi Arabia’s largest commercial franchise company, as well as other commercial franchise agreements and memorandums of cooperation between UAE companies and other participating companies at the Gulf, Arab and international levels.
