2350 companies and 55 countries will participate in WETEX and Dubai Solar Exhibitions tomorrow

Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the WETEX Exhibition will kick off tomorrow. The two exhibitions will be held under the umbrella of the Green Week from 21 to 23 October 2019 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DEWA, ​​Chairman and Founder of WETEX, said: “WETEX has become an important event on the map of international exhibitions in the fields of technology, energy and water. It supports the strategies and investments of the UAE to diversify energy sources, especially in the field of solar energy within the framework of the UAE Centennial 2071 and the UAE Vision 2021 to ensure a happy future and a better life for future generations.
His Excellency stressed that the exhibition is expanding and flourishing year after year, which enhances the status and competitiveness of Dubai and supports its leading position as a global center for green economy and Dubai Plan 2021 and Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, to provide 75% of Dubai’s energy from clean energy sources by 2050.

Since its opening 20 years ago, the number of exhibitors at WETEX has risen from 4 to 2350 in 2019, and the number of participating countries from two countries has risen to 55 this year. The two exhibitions, which spread over 78,413 square meters, attracted 2100 exhibitors from 53 countries and more than 35,000 visitors from around the world. The two sessions are expected to attract more visitors. The exhibition highlights the latest innovations in the solar energy sector, especially desalination and water treatment using solar energy. The exhibition also highlights the largest projects in this sector in the region by providing a unique and distinct platform to build partnerships with all government and private sectors in order to develop innovative solutions.
