The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs of Saudi Arabia, represented by secretariats and municipalities in different regions and cities of the Kingdom, has implemented more than 247 projects supporting tourism development in the regions in coordination with the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage.
Eng. Osama Khallawi, Director General of the General Administration of Tourism Development in the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, pointed out that the estimated cost of these projects exceeded the barrier of 8 billion riyals, with an average achievement of approximately 69%, indicating that these projects will create an environment Stimulating investment in the tourism field, which is an important extension of the tributaries of the national economy to achieve the goals hoped for the vision of 2030.
Eng. Osama said that since its establishment, the Tourism Authority has operated according to the principle of partnership and signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs in the light of this. The Director General of the General Administration for the Development of Tourism Sites in the Commission appreciated the active role played by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs represented by the secretariats and municipalities in working in a strong and distinctive partnership with the branches of the Authority.
