247 projects for the development of tourism in Saudi Arabia implemented by the Municipal and Rural Affairs Authority

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs of Saudi Arabia, represented by secretariats and municipalities in different regions and cities of the Kingdom, has implemented more than 247 projects supporting tourism development in the regions in coordination with the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage.
Eng. Osama Khallawi, Director General of the General Administration of Tourism Development in the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, pointed out that the estimated cost of these projects exceeded the barrier of 8 billion riyals, with an average achievement of approximately 69%, indicating that these projects will create an environment Stimulating investment in the tourism field, which is an important extension of the tributaries of the national economy to achieve the goals hoped for the vision of 2030.
Eng. Osama said that since its establishment, the Tourism Authority has operated according to the principle of partnership and signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs in the light of this. He pointed out that the projects included all the regions of the Kingdom, .
The Director General of the General Administration for the Development of Tourism Sites in the Commission appreciated the active role played by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs represented by the secretariats and municipalities in working in a strong and distinctive partnership with the branches of the Authority. Has always focused on the importance of activating partnership with various government agencies to play an active role in supporting and developing the tourism industry in all regions of Saudi Arabia.
A number of projects focus on the creation of new tourist destinations that achieve the goals of sustainable tourism development and international standards, thus becoming a national and tourist landmark for the beneficiary region, thus providing an attractive tourist environment and integrated services.
