The number of licenses for e-commerce activities in its two branches via websites and social networking sites has reached 432 licenses in the United Arab Emirates since the beginning of the current year 2023.

According to the data of the National Economic Register, e-commerce business has witnessed an accelerated momentum since the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, as the change in the features and shape of global trade due to the restrictions imposed on the supply chain, transportation and trade imposed on global trade makers, including those in the United Arab Emirates, to deal with the changes that It resulted accordingly, the most important of which is the emergence of features of electronic commerce, which began to spread rapidly.

The number of the most licensed activities (10 sectors) since January 1, 2023, reached approximately 2078 activities, most of which were concentrated in e-commerce through social media with 285 licenses, and through websites 147 licenses.

And secondly, licenses for import activities came with a number of 283 licenses, and thirdly, licenses for general trade with a number of 256 licenses, the contracting sector and building projects of all kinds 246 licenses, export licenses with a number of 208 licenses, cold and hot drinks 195 licenses, restaurants 193 licenses, printing and photocopying services 149 licenses, beauty centers And personal care for women with 116 licenses.
