SR 49 million for the establishment of a museum and the rehabilitation of 5 historical sites in Al-Ahsa Saudi Arabia

The National Authority for Tourism and National Heritage (CNTA) announced the signing of agreements and contracts with national institutions to establish Al Ahsa Regional Museum and rehabilitate five historical sites in Al-Ahsa governorate at a total cost of 49 million riyals.
This came during the meeting of His Highness Prince Badr bin Mohammed bin Jalawi, Governor of Al-Ahsa, to the Chairman of the Tourism Development Board, Director General of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage in Al-Ahsa Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Farida at the governorate headquarters in Hofuf.
Al-Farida explained that the cost of establishing the Al-Ahsa Regional Museum is 44,994,941 million riyals and two years, indicating that the total area of ​​the museum is 23,426 square meters and includes a number of halls and supporting services.
He added that the cost of rehabilitating and developing the buildings of Qasr Sahud and Ain Najm is 2,852,131 million riyals and that the contract duration is 18 months, while the cost of rehabilitating and developing the buildings of Khuzam Palace, Bayt Al Bayha and Al Ameeriya School is 1,773,077 for eighteen months. That the Commission delivered the historic sites of the contractors and expected to open in September next year.
On the other hand, the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage signed an agreement with one of the national consultative offices to prepare development studies for a number of heritage sites in Al-Ahsa, the center of Al-Ayoun, Qasr Ibrahim, Al-Ameeriya, Bayt Al-Bayha, Khuzam Palace, Qasr Sahud, the historic port of Aqeer, Ain Najm, the Juatha Mosque and the Muhaysir Palace.
