The deficit in the Jordanian trade balance fell by 5 percent in the first quarter of this year, driven by a 4 percent increase in the value of national exports and a 2.5 percent decline in imports.
The total value of exports during the first three months of this year reached KD 1.660 billion, an increase of 2.3 percent compared to the same period last year. The value of national exports during that period was KD 1.3 billion and a rise of 4 percent.
The value of re-exports amounted to 289 million dinars during the first third of this year, a decrease of 5 percent compared to the same period of 2017, and imports amounted to 4 billion and 590 million dinars, down by 2.5 percent.
