5.7% growth in Ajman’s GDP in 2022

The Ajman Statistics Center announced that “the gross domestic product of the Emirate of Ajman grew by 5.7% for the year 2022, compared to 2021; This is according to the results of the annual GDP report prepared by the Center, which reflects the rapid and steady development and growth of the emirate’s economy during the past period, as a result of the economic diversification policy, and its ability to maintain its position and continue to grow in light of the challenges facing the global economy.
The results showed, “The top 5 activities contributing to the gross domestic product during the year 2022; These are manufacturing activities, achieving a contribution rate of 19.2%, then construction activity by 18.8%, wholesale and retail trade by 17.8%, real estate activities by 12.1%, education activity by 4.0%, while electricity and water activities achieved a contribution rate of 14.6% in the year itself within the activities contributing to the gross domestic product of the Emirate of Ajman.
The estimates announced by the center also indicated that “the growth rate of the total production volume of the gross domestic product achieved a growth of 4.3% for the year 2022 compared to 2021, which reflects the ability of the emirate’s economy to continue rapid growth and rapid response to the wise plans and policies taken by the wise leadership, to establish the rules of And the foundations of the economy and attracting investments ».

It is noteworthy that the Ajman Statistics Center employs all its capabilities in order to provide statistical data and indicators for data users and decision makers at all levels. This is done by providing estimates of the emirate’s GDP on a regular basis based on several statistical indicators, which the center analyzes and publishes according to international statistical standards, to support decision makers in meeting the requirements of economic growth in the Emirate of Ajman.
