The total number of licenses for economic activities in the UAE increased to 537 thousand licenses at the end of October 2018 with a 1% increase and an increase of 5,000 licenses compared with August of the same year.
The increase reflects the recorded number of licenses – according to figures released by the Ministry of Economy – continued activity in all economic activities since the beginning of this year, which will have positive results on the GDP of the State during the current year.
The UAE Central Bank has forecast real GDP growth of 2.4 percent in 2018, the highest rate since 2016, supported by the non-oil sector, which is expected to record 3.7 percent.
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) forecasted a growth rate of 3.76% in the first quarter of 2018, compared to the first quarter of 2017, and a growth of 3.58% in the second quarter of 2018.
